Selena Gomez hosting MTV Europe Movie Awards

Recently one celebrity has continuously caught my eye. This year Selena Gomez has slated herself as a strong contender in the fashion arena and a style icon in the near future. With the help of Basia Richards, Selena's Hollywood stylist, the transition from Disney princess to Sophisticated actress/Edgy rock-star has been effortless! As host of  MTV Europe Movie Awards, Selena donned 9 stunning outfits and here are my favorites.

This long sleeved purple sequin body suit screams DIVA! (I actually have a purple sequin backless dress that I love.)

I love Selena's BOLD attitude towards color! This outfit is a great example of color-blocking at its best!

Being a girly-girl at heart, it's hard for me to resist a bubble skirt and sweet heart neckline!

The gold skin tight leggings and platform heels just scream rock-star to me!

This Marchesa white mini is so gorgeous! The all over applique makes a bold statement and the sheer back, button detail keeps it sexy were it could have been stuffy. The tulle ballerina skirt shows off Selena's slim waist and legs. Love, Love, Love this dress!

OoTD - They Call Me Mellow Yellow!

I LOVE the colour yellow! Unfortunately in the winter time I go an awful shade of albino white. LOL (Difficult to believe but true.) So in the summer, when I've regained my caramel complexion, I reach for yellow tops, shorts and anything else I can get my greedy hands on.

OoTD (Outfit of the Day) - White Tunic Top 3 Different Ways!

I was headed to the beach when I decided to do a little OoTD. Hope you like it!
Mix bright whites with warm caramels for a chic look!
White tunic top
Dark denim capris
Caramel heels & leather handbag
Gold jewelry to accessorize
Wide band gold butterfly bracelet.
Investing in stylish basics will always make your wardrobe more versatile.
I have this tunic in red as well. If you find something that compliments you, get it in a few different colors.
Try light denim shorts for a more casual look.
Choose clothing that flatters or highlights your best features. I love showing off one of my best features, my legs!
Last but not least, wear it alone as a cover-up to the beach or a pool party!
You'll look great whether you're in the water or just lounging around.
Finally made it to the beach!
Ahh there's nothing like a beautiful Bermuda day!
 Bye guys! =)

Hey!

Welcome to Inside the Dressing Room, my first attempt at blogging! Yay! This will be very trial and error but hopefully interesting as well! I’m Reanna, a transplant from the sunny island of Bermuda now living in London! Being here has reignited my love of FASHION at all levels. There are no rules here which allows for experimentation and discovery and its evident everywhere. I’d been playing with the idea of doing a blog or vlog for awhile when I read the Marie Claire article, “Why You Should Care What I Wear.” A fashion blog. Now that’s something I could really have fun with!

Ok, so what to do first? SHOPPING! I know I’m conforming to a well known female stereotype and while I can’t speak for all women in my case it’s true. I love clothes! I love clothes, shoes, bags, and all the accessories that go along with them. Sometimes I even dream about clothes. =) Anyway, off I went to TopShop.

With nothing in particular in mind, I picked up the first things that caught my eye. (1) A Floral Print Jumper, (2) Navy Satin Boyfriend Blazer and, (3) a Lace Dress. I was actually surprised how well the jumper fit and once on, thought it would look really cute with a wide belt. (But they don't let you take belts into the changing rooms.) The feel of the satin blazer was great and I like how it dressed up the jumper. Below, channeling Madonna in the lace dress, which was basically see thru, that fit me perfectly. Cool for a night out at the club with some really hot ankle boots.

Next I went to Primark, which is either a dirty word or treasure chest, depending on your perspective. And this is what I found...
So what do you think? Love the shape and of course the sequin! And last my favorite purchase of the day, my new SHORTS! (yes, it's still warm enough for shorts!) Check out the button detail.

Lesson learned from this experiment -> Wear neutral tights when trying on clothes, especially if you're taking pictures. Purple doesn't go with everything.
