Animal Print - Do or Don't?
I’ll admit I’ve never been a huge fan of animal prints. It’s so easy to over do it and end up looking tacky rather than chic! However a few pieces have slowly crept into my wardrobe and I LOVE them!
The bold black stripe at the bottom gives this dress a finished look that makes it perfect for work or after work drinks!
A black belt adds definition to my waist.

Gossip Girl OBSESSION - Lace!
Everyone needs a vice and Gossip Girl is mine (that and coffee)! From the moment the show started in 2007 I’ve eagerly anticipated every episode anxious to see what the characters are wearing each week. With Blair’s sophisticated vintage looks and Serena’s casual glamour I was hooked!
With lace appearing everywhere this season, crossing trends and styles, I was reminded of a particular lace number Blair wore in the pilot episode. Inspired, I went in search of my own lace dress @ New Look.
From the front, a classic lace dress but with a TWIST! The back dips dangerously low and I’m really surprised I got this shot without my pink underwear showing. My advice if you’re going to a more formal affair, wear this with a tailored jacket in satin. If seduction is your plan, pair it with some killer heels, your hair up and perhaps a simple chain that hangs down your back.
While black is classic, lace is now available in all colors giving it a fresh new look. This one fit perfectly and also had a scoop back but was definitely a mini! If you’d prefer to be a little more covered complete this sleek look with a pair of leggings or jeggings and some ankle boots.
Combination, classic black lace and color! This dress had a very straight cut which just didn’t work on my petite frame but the bow detail in the back was adorable!
A look always has to be tailored to the individual and this dress was my favorite! A v-neck is always flattering if you have a smaller bust and the cinched waist accentuates my curves. Felt like a party as soon as I put it on. I also like the versatility of this dress. It could easily work for so many different styles. Pair it with biker boots and a leather bomber jacket for a more punk look. Pair it with some sexy stilettos, a cute clutch and your ready for cocktails!

Houndstooth (or Dogtooth)!
I distinctly remember sitting on the edge of my mother’s bed thinking I wanted to be just like her. She looked so sophisticated in her houndstooth skirt! (I’m pretty sure she still has it too) It’s nice to see a classic pattern come back in fashion! Loving the H&M skirt and Alexander McQueen bag!
Today there are lots of options. You can go big and bold with all over pattern or simple with just a handbag. Here are some pieces I found. Happy Shopping!

Being of the small bust demographic I’ve always been a bit nervous about the bandeau dress, they just never seem to fit properly. This one does! The tone on tone animal print is fun without being over the top!
Multi Geo Print 2 in 1 Vest Dress
Tulip Dresses are every where these days and very figure flattering! Love the blue, black & white pattern!
This jumpsuit was just too hot to put back! All the sex appeal of a mini without any of the concerns that you’re flashing people. Can’t wait to wear it out! :D

Outfits that work for spring, summer, fall & winter!
First photo was sort of a joke because if you didn't notice it's a pair of tights twisted into a "flower." Still looks cute! The vest I got from Gibbons in Bermuda and the purple top from Primark. The heels, another favorite, my mom got for me through her bridal boutique.
Add boots, leg warmers (love them!), tights or jeans and you're all set! With the addition of just a few items your favorite summer clothes can double as winter attire. Oh and a decent coat, but I figured you already knew that.
(Dancing between photos! :P) Thanks for stopping by!

Hey!
Ok, so what to do first? SHOPPING! I know I’m conforming to a well known female stereotype and while I can’t speak for all women in my case it’s true. I love clothes! I love clothes, shoes, bags, and all the accessories that go along with them. Sometimes I even dream about clothes. =) Anyway, off I went to TopShop.
Next I went to Primark, which is either a dirty word or treasure chest, depending on your perspective. And this is what I found...
So what do you think? Love the shape and of course the sequin! And last my favorite purchase of the day, my new SHORTS! (yes, it's still warm enough for shorts!) Check out the button detail.
Lesson learned from this experiment -> Wear neutral tights when trying on clothes, especially if you're taking pictures. Purple doesn't go with everything.
